In 1997, Warner Bros. Released Batman & Robin. This movie, was, as the other recent Batman Movie [Batman Forever] a departure from the cool gothic feel of Tim Burton's dark sensibility. Mostly because he only produced it. As well, a totally different person played Batman. George Clooney should not have been Batman no more than val Kilmer should have been Batman. I belive Uma Thurman was the perfect choice for Poison Ivy. It totally wouldn't have worked as Angelina Jolie, or Selma Hayak. I mean, they did need someone classy and sexy, not trashy and sexy. I only have a few qualms with the character. And it's not how she played it.
Qualm 1: The tiny ass switch blade. Come on! It could barely put butter on a tiny piece of toast!
Qualm 2: Poison Ivy going after Mr. Freeze. First off, that'd totally not work. And plus, the stury line is that she has an obsession for BATMAN!!!! And she quite hates Robin, therefore, she wouldn't want to kiss him, not even to kill him.
Qualm 3:Poison Ivy is without her Cross-bow. Poison Ive would never be without it.
