In my mother's eyes i saw love such as i have never known again. There were no lines to cross, nothing said or done that could not be forgiven.
In my mother's touch i felt the kind of bond that only a mother can have for her child. I never really understood that until i look into the eyes of my own beautiful daughter.
Knowing my mother's heart i was tought, understanding, respect, grace in the face of adversity, and courage that i have yet to see surpassed.
So I take this opportunity to say, momma i'm sorry for all the pain i know i must have caused you, for the times i should have been there and wasn't. and to say thank you for all the times you forgave these things and made them seem as nothing.

Although i had the opportunity to tell my mother all these things in this life, i lost her to cancer in Jan. 98.
If you haven't told you mother you love her lately, do so. One day she will only hear your i love you's through your prayers.
So often we miss chances that we will never have again, take this chance to tell her you love her today and every day that follows. |
