Chapter 9: My Savior, Vegeta

Zelon's eyesbrow perked up. "And what could you possibly mean by that?" Vegeta threw Gayah's hands away from his and faced Zelon with a smirk.
"Not only did I get Kakarita's energy from right under your nose, but I also found a way to get her out of this place without her energy being zapped by the vortex."
"How did you know that would happen?!" Zelon demanded.
"You can thank my wife. She's an absolute genius," Vegeta answered.
"So, what was your way of getting around my little scheme, Vegeta? Tell me. I'm rather curious," Zelon replied.
"You're not the only one who is a part of her now," Vegeta began. "And I'm not talking about her husband."
"What could you POSSIBLY be insinuating? That YOU slept with her?? Ha! The day she'd do that with you is the day -"
"The day she would allow herself to be controlled by a bastard like you! And that day has come!" Vegeta interrupted. Zelon's face tightened into that of a frown; an evil frown.
"Well. You and Gayah decided to have some fun, did you? And why is that?" Zelon asked.
"My life is of no concern of yours!" Vegeta exclaimed.
"It is now. I could always have Gayah tell me your plan, and it would backfire instantly. Do you want that?" Zelon inquired. Vegeta scowled.
'Not only is he powerful, but he's almost too smart for me...ALMOST. That bastard won't know what hit him. I'll do whatever it takes to beat him and get Kakarita out of here.' Vegeta powered up an energy blast. "I don't, no. But, it won't matter because I am going to destroy you!" Vegeta flew at Zelon and threw the energy at him. Zelon cried out and created an energy shield. His shield provided enough protection that it wouldn't kill him, but he was still launched backwards. Zelon stood, angered.
"You will PAY for that one!!!" Zelon shrieked. "Gayah, GET HIM!!"
"Kakarita, remember why I made love to you? I did it to free you from Zelon! Look at what's happening! You're being cast in more by his evil! You can't let him beat you!!" Vegeta yelled. Gayah stood, confused. Kitaria came through the vortex, holding Gayah's energy.
"Gayah, become the Princess of the Saiyans again!!" Kitaria yelled as she tossed the yellow crystal through the air. Gayah looked up and watched it come at her.
"NNNNNNOOOOOO!!!" Zelon screamed.
"Catch it Kakarita!" Vegeta ordered. He powered up to Super Saiyan in case he needed to fight.
The crystal started to glow as it got closer to Gayah. The red in Gayah's eyes disappeared. The crystal vanished through Gayah's body and she lit up in a yellow aura. She cried out and her hair flared up, turning yellow. She opened her eyes, and they had turned green.
"YES!!" Kitaria jumped up in the air, cheering and laughed in happiness. "She's BACK!! Zelon is SO going down!" Gayah looked at Zelon and smirked.
"I must say, Zelon. You are an impressive person. I was a fool to give into you. You were never very strong physically. You only had the power to control people once you took them for your own sexual pleasures. And you know what they always say," Gayah started. Vegeta walked up next to her. "Payback's a bitch. But when I'm involved, it's MUCH worse." She started to power up.
"This can't be happening to me!! NOO!! I will NOT be beaten by a woman!" Zelon yelled. Gayah scowled.
"A WOMAN?? I'll show you!" Gayah said. She gathered energy in her hands and threw it at the man. It surrounded him, constricting his body. "Without my energy to feed on, you'll be powerless to stop me. You should have thought of the consequences of dealing with a mad Saiyan woman. And if think this is bad, you haven't seen ANYTHING yet." She slowly made her way up to him and slapped him hard in the face. "That is for putting me through the torture of being your supposed slave. No one will ever have to feel that kind of pain under you again." Zelon looked at her with pained eyes.
"I...I...would have...spared you..." Zelon choked.
"You're just saying that to save your life. But, it won't work on me. I'm not quite THAT stupid," Gayah replied. She frowned. "The pain I went through while being held up here was unbearble, even for someone like me. I'm just glad I have friends like Vegeta who would do anything for me." She looked at Vegeta and grinned happily. "Now..." She looked back at Zelon. "It's time to end your game." She began to gather energy for her well-known attack, the Comet Warp Attack.
"Vegeta, come back here and watch the colors!" Kitaria giggled. Vegeta stepped back and joined the younger Saiyan.
"Are you enjoying this THAT much?" Vegeta asked her.
"Of course I am! Seeing Gayah take revenge like this is always entertaining for me," Kitaria answered. "And besides, her Comet Warp is just like seeing fireworks." She folded her arms over her chest. "And after she finishes off Zelon, we can finally go home and get on with our lives." They watched Gayah gather the rest of her energy and form it into a large ball.
"I've waited a long time for this. COMET WARP...ATTACK!" She launched the large beam at Zelon and right before it got to him, it split into hundreds of other beams of different colors. Gayah could hear Kitaria cheering behind her in bliss. She chuckled and all of the beams hit Zelon. In the wind that had been created, they could hear Zelon's piercing scream of pain. Gayah could suddenly feel immense pain through her body. She forced more energy out into her Comet Warp, but the more energy that left her, the more pain entered her body.
"Vegeta!! Something is wrong with Gayah!! Look at her body! It's...weakening!!" Kitaria cried out in worry. Vegeta growled and powered up.
"Something isn't right. I'm going to finish this. Damn that Zelon." Vegeta rushed over to Gayah's side as her attack finished. She returned to normal and collapsed into Vegeta's arms.
"Zelon...is still...alive, Vegeta," Gayah murmured. Vegeta set Gayah on the ground.
"I'll finish the job you started, Kakarita. This battle is officially over," Vegeta told her. The smoke from her attack cleared and a bloody Zelon was lying on the ground, trying to get up.
"You just...don't get it...do you?! Gayah and I...are a part of...each other. Therefore..." Zelon started.
"Therefore nothing!! You're through, Zelon!" Vegeta interrupted. He powered up an energy attack. "I'm sending you on a one-way-trip to HELL." He launched the blast at him, and as Zelon's body slowly started to disintegrate, Gayah twitched in pain on the ground. Kitaria rushed over to her and picked her up, holding her tight.
"Hurry Vegeta! Gayah is going to need the rejuvination tank soon!" Kitaria warned. Vegeta screamed out and finished off his attack, destroying Zelon. After this, the portal he created started to disappear. "VEGETA!! THE PORTAL IS GOING TO DISAPPEAR!! WE NEED TO HURRY!!" Vegeta rushed over to Kitaria and took Gayah in his arms.
"Let's go NOW!" They flew as fast as they could for the portal, and jumped into it. "Get into the other one!" Kitaria turned Super Saiyan and ran into the portal. "We're almost there, Kakarita. You're going home." And with that, Vegeta jumped through the portal, leaving Zelon's dimension to blow up with no way to get to it.

"WHAT? Kitaria went through the portal??" Gohan exclaimed. "Wait until I get my hands on her."
"Gohan, calm down. She really wanted to go after Gayah," Bulma soothed with a hand on his shoulder. "You have have been like that too if you could." Gohan just grumbled and folded his arms over his chest.
"But STILL. She knew what risk she was taking."
"Of course she did, but she wanted to rescue your aunt, Gohan," Goku replied as he stood and walked over to his son. "They should be fine."
"I hope so, Dad." After saying this, the portal started to glow and Kitaria jumped through it, landing at Goku's feet. He looked at her sternly.
"Uhh...hi Goku."
"Where is Vegeta and Gayah, Kitaria?" Zasyder questioned worriedly. Kitaria stood and smiled.
"They should be coming any second." As if on cue, Vegeta jumped through the portal with Gayah in his arms, looking weak.
"GAYAH! You're okay!!" Zasyder cried as he rushed over to Vegeta. Vegeta frowned.
"She needs to heal, Yevethan, so you'll just have to wait," Vegeta ordered. He looked at Bulma. "Is the rejuvination takn ready?"
"Yes, Vegeta. Just put her in it and she should be just fine within a few hours," Bulma responded. Vegeta nodded and did what he was told. "Let's fix her up, shall we? We'll all wait for her vital signs to get better." Bulma typed on her computer and the tank filled with the healing liquid. "Now all we can do is wait."

**1 Hour Later**

"Well, let's see how our princess is doing now," Bulma yawned as she checked over Gayah's vital signs. They turned out to be normal. Bulma looked at Gayah through the glass, and saw her eyes fluttering. "Let's empty the tank and get her out. She should be feeling much better." Bulma typed a little and the healing liquid emptied from the tank. Gayah opened her eyes and tore off the breathing mask. Everyone stood and and waited.
Gayah got up and stepped out. "Well, that was a nice nap." Everyone just looked at her. "What? Don't look at me like I'm a zombie. I guess you guys didn't miss me quite as much as I thought." Zasyder made his way over to her and scooped her in his arms.
"Gayah, shut up. We're glad you're home and safe."
"Well, it is good to be home, dear." She hugged her husband back and kissed his cheek. As she moved away, she walked over to Goku and hugged him.
"Gayah, it's so good to have you back. I missed you. I was so scared that something would happen..." Goku faded off. Gayah moved away.
"Like what? That I would die? Nonsense, Goku. I would never leave you or anyone else like that," Gayah informed. She smiled. "Well, I'm hungry. Why don't we go and get something to eat?" Everyone nodded. She looked around. "Where's ChiChi?"
"She's with the kids. She wanted to keep them busy while Vegeta went in to get you," Bulma answered. Gayah nodded.
"Oh...okay. Good. The last thing they need to know is me being weak and not being able to get out on my own," Gayah replied. Goku frowned.
"Gayah, I HATE when you talk like that. You are NOT weak. You're one of the strongest people I know," Goku stated. Gayah smirked.
"Well, I obviously wasn't strong enough this time, now was I?" Goku shook his head.
"Let's just get something to eat," Goku sighed. Everyone followed Bulma out of the room to make something to eat...

After eating, Gayah wanted to be left alone to go into the backyard of Capsule Corp. It was almost sundown, and she sat under a tree, getting ready for the orange sun to go down over the horizon.
"To think I would have left a place like this behind because...I was weak," Gayah whispered to herself.
"You were not weak." Gayah turned around to see Vegeta standing there in his pink shirt and yellow pants. "You were as strong as you could be."
"Of course you would say that, Vegeta." She turned her head and looked back at the setting sun. Vegeta approached her and joined her under the tree.
"I don't understand what you find so amusing about a sunset. It happens the same everyday," Vegeta started. Gayah smiled.
"Well, its beauty is never the same twice. Watching the sun set is a wonderful thing. It's like a friend; you may not see it..." Gayah looked at Vegeta. "...but you know its there, waiting to see you." Gayah put her hand on Vegeta's shoulder. "Things will be different from now on, Vegeta. What we did in Zelon's dimension..." Gayah faded off and looked away from Vegeta.
"What we did in Zelon's dimension meant something to me, Kakarita. You reminded me of everything you taught me. Because of that, I didn't give up on you after Zelon took control of you," Vegeta explained. Gayah looked at Vegeta in wonder.
"It..it did?"
"Yes. Kakarita, you are the first person I ever..."
"Ever what?"
"Loved." Gayah smiled.
"Oh Vegeta..."
"You showed me how to love, and because of it, I have a wife and a son that I hold close to my heart," Vegeta confessed. Gayah almost had tears in her eyes.
"Vegeta, that's the most beautiful thing I have ever heard you say. I knew deep down you knew how to love...you just needed someone to help you bring it out," Gayah remarked.
"And that person was you, Kakarita," Vegeta said. Gayah looked at him, then stood.
"We better be getting back. I'll never forget what you did for me today. I have to be the luckiest woman to have a friend like you," Gayah commented. Vegeta stood as well. Gayah took Vegeta in her arms and hugged him. When she moved away, she looked at Vegeta with sparkling eyes. "Oh, and Vegeta?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you for reminding me I have room in my life for love."
"What are you talking about?"
"You were the first person I have ever thought of loving, Vegeta. And you will always hold a part of my heart," Gayah said. With that, she walked off. Vegeta watched her go, and understood her with his silence.
