Chapter 3: My Name Is Fate

�What�s the matter, Bulma?� Kitaria wondered aloud.
�I was researching the other day and discovered something you�re not going to like. I found a vortex,� Bulma explained.
�A vortex? Where?� Gayah asked.
�That�s the thing. I don�t know where I found it, but I know that one exists somewhere within a few hundred mile radius,� Bulma continued.
�So, what�s the bad news about this vortex? As long as it can�t be opened then it is not a threat,� Gohan said.
�That�s the thing, Gohan. I predict it�s VERY easy to open. It is radiating strange readings, like something is trapped inside of it and wants out, and for all we know, it could be evil,� Bulma informed.
�I�m telling you something right now. If we have another enemy to deal with, I�m going to go insane,� Gayah snapped. She folded her arms over her chest and shot her hip to the side. �I�m really getting tired of dealing with damn fools that think they can beat us.�
�We all are, Gayah, but we just have to face the facts. There are people like that in the universe,� Goku said.
�Yeah, well it really sucks,� she replied. She turned to Bulma. �Do you think you could find the vortex? I think I could shut it out completely from the Solar System.�
�You CAN??� Zasyder questioned. Gayah nodded.
�I�ve been training my mind a lot lately, and I think I can use my Psywave Meditation to lock the vortex so it will never open, at least not here,� Gayah stated.
�And what if it doesn�t work?� Kitaria inquired. Gayah looked at her feet.
�Let�s just hope that it will.� Bulma stood.
�I�ll get to work right away, Gayah. And once I find out where it is, I�ll let you know and keep a signal on it wherever it may go,� she remarked. And with that, Bulma walked into the house and into her lab where she would start her research. Vegeta looked at Gayah.
�Kakarita, what do you make of this?�
�I really don�t know, Vegeta. This could be completely harmless or very dangerous. We really won�t know until we see it for ourselves,� Gayah responded. Everyone nodded in agreement.
�Dear, doing this is going to have quite a toll on you,� Zasyder warned.
�I don�t care, Zasyder. I have to do this. Saving the world is more important than my well-being right now. I�d rather sacrifice myself than billions of people,� Gayah pointed out.
�That�s understandable, Gayah. But we don�t want you to get hurt,� Kitaria informed. Gayah smiled.
�I know that, and you all have nothing to worry about,� Gayah assured her friends.
�I hope you�re right, Gayah. The last thing we need is to worry about you. We know how you can get carried away with some things,� Zasyder pointed out. Goku chuckled nervously.
�He DOES have a point there, sis,� Goku added. Gayah scoffed and shot an evil glare towards her brother. He looked away, avoiding her mesmerizing look.
�So what if he does? I�ll take this seriously. I know when to mess around and when not to,� Gayah remarked. At that, Bulma walked back out onto the patio holding a stack of papers.
�I�ve found it, Gayah. Just follow this map and you should be there in no time. I�ve monitored it�s last locations, and it hasn�t moved in the last 12 hours, so I don�t think it will move now. But if you get to the coordinates and it isn�t there, come on back here and we�ll find it for you,� Bulma explained as she handed Gayah a paper. Gayah nodded and powered up, beginning to float in midair. �And Gayah? Be careful.�
�No sweat. I�ll be back in no time, with good news,� Gayah replied. And with that, she flew off.

�It looks as if I make a turn here at this mountain, and it should be behind this waterfall,� Gayah said to herself. She tore past a mountain and sure enough there was a huge waterfall in front of her. She stopped in midair. �I�ve never seen this here before. It�s absolutely beautiful.� She made her way slowly over to the waterfall and then into it. And in front of her was a black, churning vortex, just where Bulma said it would be. �Hello there. I do believe it�s time for you to go �bye-bye�.� Gayah closed her eyes and her body glowed. But suddenly, the vortex started to emit black light. Gayah sensed this and stopped what she was doing. A black hand came out of it and grabbed her, starting to pull her in. Gayah screamed out and turned Super Saiyan. The hand disappeared and Gayah fell to the ground. �What WAS that??� A dark laughter began and Gayah stood, getting ready to fight. Dark clouds came from the vortex and formed into that of a man. He had blood red hair and black eyes. And he had an evil smile to him.
�Ahh�so you must be Gayah. You�re just the one I�ve been looking for,� the man stated.
�Who ARE you??� Gayah asked.
�I am Zelon. And I have come here with a proposition. It can be a good or bad proposition, depending on what you choose,� Zelon began.
�I�m listening.�
�I want you to give up your strength and freedom to me to save your planet and its people. If you don�t, I�ll kill you and everyone on Earth, and then I�ll destroy it,� Zelon smirked.
�What makes you think you can beat me or anyone of my friends who have successfully defended Earth in the past?� Gayah asked. Zelon grabbed Gayah�s face and all she saw suddenly was black. Then she saw the screaming faces of all her friends and family, and then the destruction of Earth with Zelon�s laughing face above its debris. Gayah moved away quickly, panting hard.
�Are you convinced?� Gayah just looked at him.
�Let me get this straight. You want me to give up all of my strength and�freedom?� Zelon nodded. �And I have to do this or else you�ll kill everyone on the planet just like I saw?� Zelon nodded again. �Why do you want me to do this for you?�
�Because I want you to, and you�ll realize someday that you do as well,� Zelon responded.
�And why would you say that?� Gayah questioned. Zelon chuckled.
�You�ll find out soon. So, is it a deal or not?� Gayah looked down at her feet.
�Yes. My strength and freedom for the protection of Earth and its inhabitants,� Gayah murmured. Zelon laughed and wind began to circulate around them. A bubble of light encased Gayah and her body glowed yellow as her Super Saiyan strength tried to save her, but it was no use. A crystal formed in Zelon�s hand and all of Gayah�s power and strength went inside of it, making it yellow. Her body fell to the ground.
�Well Gayah, you belong to ME now!� Zelon laughed. He picked her up by the waist and they disappeared into the vortex, and it closed.

Goku fell to the ground, beads of sweat falling off of his face.
�Dad? What�s the matter?� Gohan asked as he touched his father.
�Something happened�I can no longer feel Gayah�s life force. She�s�gone.�
�Then why are you feeling pain, Kakarot??� Vegeta demanded.
�They are connected by blood�therefore Goku knows when Gayah is in danger,� Zasyder answered. �You said you can not feel Gayah at all? What does that mean?� Goku stood with Gohan and Kitaria�s help and he looked at Zasyder with pain in his eyes.
�Gayah�s power level went all the way down to zero. I can�t tell whether she is still alive or not. But�it happened so fast, so I doubt she�s dead. I think someone drained her energy,� Goku panted.
�We need to find her then!� Kitaria replied. Zasyder shook his head.
�It was that vortex�it sucked her in�� Zasyder murmured.
�WHAT?? Then we need to find a way to get her back!� Kitaria cried out.
�I�ll find a way, even if it kills me!� Bulma announced as she ran to her lab.
�What are we going to do, Goku?� Kitaria asked. Goku shook his head.
�I don�t know, Kitaria. We just have to wait until Bulma can find out where she is and how we can get to her,� Goku answered. Kitaria fell to her knees, defeated. She started to sob softly.
�We just have to get her back. I can�t live without her�Mom�� Kitaria mumbled.
