| Chapter 9: The Fall of a Spirit Ajiin just had to laugh. �Oh ho, really? I don�t think you can defeat me, Princess. After all of your endeavors already? Besides, you failed on saving everyone else and Gohan,� Ajiin pointed out. �Were you not listening to me?? I knew Gohan would die. I was trying to make sure he wouldn�t die in much pain. Not that you would care, since you�re a monster to begin with,� Gayah interfered. �Maybe I am. But what does that got to do with anything? You�re all going to die anyway,� Ajiin replied. Vegeta stomped forward at that comment. �Shut the hell up, damn you! I�m tired of keeping my anger in! You�re a bastard, and if you say we�re going to die one more time, I swear I�ll blast you into oblivion,� Vegeta threatened as he powered up. �But it won�t matter, because you�re going to be punished for killing my son!� Ajiin just continued smiling. �I see that you want be my next victim, eh Prince Vegeta?� Ajiin questioned. �Call me whatever you want, I don�t care. I�m still going to kill you,� Vegeta stated. He finished his power-up by going Super Saiyan. �Your last breathing moments are over!� Gayah and Goku looked at each other, realizing that the three of them were the only ones remaining who stood a chance at defeating Ajiin. They had to do what it took to win, even if it meant killing themselves. And already, many deaths had took place: Zasyder, Zimena, Trunks, Fey�lya, Goten, Kitaria, Gohan�and for all they knew, Vegeta would be next� �Goku?� �We have to let him fight alone. You know he has far too much pride to let us help him. Besides, he will take his revenge for Trunks,� Goku rebuked. Gayah nodded. �Yes, I know. But what if his anger controls him?� Gayah asked. �Then pray that you and I can beat Ajiin,� Goku answered. Gayah nodded with significance, then turned her attention to an angry Vegeta. Ajiin and Vegeta fought hard, and Vegeta held the advantage over Ajiin for a while, until Ajiin grabbed him by the neck and squeezed as hard as he could. �If you think you can beat me, Prince, you are wrong. You have always been weaker than someone, and this time, you�re weaker than me too, and there is nothing you can do about it!� Ajiin laughed. Vegeta screamed out and got out of the chokehold by kicking Ajiin in the stomach. He dropped on the ground, holding his stomach. �You will pay for that one, Saiyan Prince!� He gathered energy in his palm and blasted Vegeta. Vegeta disappeared into the blast. �VEGETA!!!� Gayah and Goku yelled at once. �Well, I guess he didn�t last long,� Ajiin guessed. �Think again!� Ajiin turned around and Vegeta kicked him in the face. �Never underestimate the power of a Saiyan! Especially the Prince of them all!� Vegeta smirked. �You�re too overconfident for your own good, and that will be you downfall.� Ajiin got up, smiling as well. �And who�s to say you�re not, Prince Vegeta? You haven�t seen my true power yet,� Ajiin pointed out. �And you never will, because I don�t need to use it to beat any of you.� Ajiin began to gather energy in his palms, and it grew enormously until it towered over his head. �But I think I�m going to let you go out with a big bang, Prince. I just think it would be natural for the Prince of all Saiyans to die in a rather LARGE way.� Vegeta looked at the energy that began to block the sun from them. Gayah and Goku looked completely shocked. Even Vegeta knew that he wouldn�t be able to block all of that power from hitting him. He could feel it. He knew he was going to die and join his son with King Kai. He knew then that once again it would be up to Kakarot to defeat this enemy and protect Earth. And knowing that Kakarita was still alive made him feel a little better. He knew they would try their hardest in defeating him. He powered up one last time, calling forth his Final Flash attack. �I�m ready when you are, Ajiin!� he announced. Ajiin just smiled. �FINAL FLASH!� Ajiin threw the large ball of energy at Vegeta. It slowly crept towards him. Vegeta launched his attack, aiming for Ajiin, not the energy ball coming at him. �Vegeta, what are you doing??� Goku called. Vegeta looked at him and smiled. �It�s up to you to defeat him now. Good luck,� Vegeta yelled. And with that, the blast hit him, his bloodcurdling scream overpowering the wind from the energy. Gayah tried to run to Vegeta, but Goku stopped her, holding her close. Vegeta�s Final Flash hit Ajiin, and he was hurled hundreds of feet away into a slab of rock. He had lost one of his arms from the energy, and fell to the ground. As for Vegeta, his body disintegrated in the energy blast. Minutes later, the wind died down and the dust cleared. Gayah and Goku stood alone. The real fight for the Earth would start now. |
