Chapter 18: When Death Walks

�Why aren�t you two sleeping?� Goku asked Gayah and Kitaria.
�I couldn�t sleep,� Gayah answered her brother.
�Me neither. I keep thinking about wishing back the others. And after what has happened,� Kitaria added. Goku and Gayah nodded in agreement.
�Yes, this was one of our toughest battles by far. And losing everyone to death was the worst thing that could happen, but I think those deaths fueled us and helped us to beat Ajiin,� Gayah informed.
�Maybe you�re right,� Goku said.
�Hey, why don�t we go and sit on the deck? I�ll bet the scene is beautiful. You can probably see the whole countryside from there,� Kitaria suggested. Gayah and Goku smiled, and they headed to the deck on the very top floor, being extra quiet around the other�s bedrooms so they wouldn�t wake them. They reached the deck and sat down, looking at the mountains stretching as far as you could see.
�This is so beautiful. It�s hard to believe that someone would want to destroy this,� Gayah said blissfully.
�Yeah, I know. Billions of people on this planet would have suffered if it wasn�t for us,� Goku replied. Gayah and Kitaria looked down.
�I don�t really like being depended on,� Kitaria mumbled. Gayah and Goku looked at her. �I always feel like I�m going to let someone down. But you two have always protected people since you were little. You�re so used to it, and have never failed. I�m always up for failure. I wish I was more capable like the both of you.� Gayah and Goku both got up and walked up to her.
�Kitaria, listen to yourself. No one could ever repay you for what you�ve done for this planet. It was just fate that Goku and I had to protect the planet. We enjoy doing it, but watching people suffer is not what we had in mind. Every time we�re in a battle, we learn something new. And you are NOT a failure. My brother and I did NOT raise you to have that kind of an attitude,� Gayah scolded.
�Gayah�s right. We�ve taught you everything we know. Don�t be so hard on yourself,� Goku remarked. Kitaria looked up at them, her adoptive parents, and smiled.
�Yeah�I guess you�re right,� Kitaria said. Suddenly, they all looked in one direction and saw an energy beam coming straight for them. It hit Goku in the chest and he fell over. �Goku! You okay?� Kitaria knelt down beside him and he struggled to sit up.
�I�m fine. What�s that?� Goku asked. They looked to the sky and saw a black cloud circling above them.
�Hahahahaha!! You actually thought you were rid of me!� a voice rang out.
�Oh no! That can�t be�� Gayah started. The cloud formed into a body that turned out to be Ajiin. �AJIIN! You�re�alive?? But�HOW???�
�I�m sorry to disappoint you, Princess. But I�m not alive. I�m still dead, thanks to your blasted Kamehameha Wave,� Ajiin replied. He continued. �But, I was allowed back here for a moment by the ruler of the Dead World to take my revenge. Of course, I�m only permitted to stay for 30 minutes, but I think that�s enough to do what I never got to do while I was still alive.� He turned to Goku, who had finally stood up. �Goku, you are the one I want!� And with that, Ajiin started to form a ball of energy in his hand, and launched it at the tired Saiyan. Gayah got ready to make a barrier, but was thrown off the deck by a shockwave, hitting into the ground below her, screaming. Before the beam hit Goku, Kitaria jumped on him, making him fall back over and took the hit herself.
�Kitaria!!� Goku yelled. Kitaria dug her fingernails in his arms, trying to ignore the pain of the beam tunneling into her back. She screamed out, and Ajiin laughed.
�That�s not exactly what I had in mind, but the girl deserved to be punished after the treatment I received from her!� Ajiin stated. Kitaria struggled to get up, her arms shaking under her. Beads of sweat fell from her face onto Goku�s. He looked at her, hoping she was alright.
�Kitaria, are you okay?� Goku asked. He could feel a twinge in his body. Gayah was okay, and he could feel anger coming over her. Knowing his sister was alright, he turned his attention back to Kitaria, who was still struggling to get off of him. �Kitaria, answer me!� She opened her tight-closed eyes and looked at him.
�I�m fine. How about you?� Kitaria questioned. Goku scowled.
�How can you ask that question?? You just put yourself in danger!� Goku scolded. He felt another beam coming for them, so he picked up Kitaria and teleported just in time. They floated in the air while Gayah flew up to join them.
�I�m not dealing with your bullshit anymore, Ajiin!� Gayah cried out. She powered up a blast and plunged it at him. It went straight through him. Gayah and Goku gasped. �Damn!� Kitaria looked up, dazed.
�Let me go, Goku. Let me take his ass down,� Kitaria begged tiredly.
�No Kitaria, you�ve been hit. You need to rest,� Goku said.
�I won�t let you three talk strategy!� Ajiin yelled as he threw another blast at them. Gayah formed a barrier around them just in time to deflect it.
�We need to do something now, before Ajiin takes advantage of us!� Gayah remarked.
�I know, but what about Kitaria? We need to get her a Senzu Bean, but I don�t want to leave you out here by yourself to deal with him, Gayah. Anything can happen,� Goku replied.
�I don�t need a Senzu Bean, Goku. Just let me go, damn you,� Kitaria demanded.
�No Kitaria. You can�t fight,� Gayah pointed out.
�I can, and I will!� she said. She broke from Goku�s hold and suspended herself in air beside the Saiyan siblings.
�Kitaria, hold on a second!� Goku called to her. Kitaria powered up. But before she could do anything, Goku powered up to Super Saiyan and went after Ajiin. They clashed together, electricity circling their bodies.
�WHY did he go after Ajiin like that!?� Kitaria demanded as she looked at Gayah.
�Probably because he�s protecting you. He doesn�t want you to go out there and make a mistake that will cost you your life,� Gayah answered.
�This is making me VERY mad. Goku doesn�t trust me,� Kitaria grumbled.
�He trusts you. But this is beyond trust. This is about skill and knowing you can beat your enemy,� Gayah informed. Kitaria just looked at her. And after this, Goku went flying straight into Gayah, sending them both flying for a tree. They hit into it, falling onto the ground.
�I wonder if I�m able to rape in this form,� Ajiin wondered as he confronted Kitaria. She powered up again.
�Even if you can, you wouldn�t be able to. I won�t let you touch me again, you monster!� Kitaria vowed.
�Is that so? I wouldn�t make promises I can�t keep, little girl,� Ajiin snapped. Kitaria growled and felt that Gayah and Goku were getting up and slowly recovering.
�WHAT�did you�CALL ME?� Kitaria stuttered, gritting her teeth. She powered up and kicked him in the stomach, and then elbowed him in the back, sending him flying. She intercepted his fall and caught him by the throat. �Don�t EVER call me a little girl.� And after this, she threw him into the nearest tree. He reassembled his stature and got ready to power a blast when he felt another energy coming straight for him. He looked down and saw that it was a beam, launched by Goku. He punched it and directed it away from him. Then he powered up and flew for Goku. Goku shoved Gayah out of the way and started to fight, getting hit by piercing kicks and punches.
�Goku! Watch it!� Gayah yelled. Goku fell over, one of his cheeks bleeding from a collision with Ajiin. �GOKU!�
