| Chapter 16: Sacrifices Kitaria screamed out and went to stop Gayah, but Goku grabbed her arm and pulled her back. �Goku, what are you doing?? We have to stop her or she�ll die!� Kitaria snapped. Goku just looked down at her. �Go-Goku?!� Goku just shook his head and Kitaria�s face turned sour and pounded her fists against his chest. �Why are you letting her do this??� �Because. This is her choice, Kitaria. You have to understand that,� Goku answered calmly. �But - but - no!! She�s like a mother to me! You can�t let her do this, Goku! You weren�t here when she died at the hands of King Cold! You didn�t see the pain in her eyes! She called out YOUR name before she died, dammit! And I�ll bet she never told you that!� Goku just looked at her, then glanced over at his sister, spending all of her energy, and probably for nothing. He was having second thoughts. He looked back down at Kitaria, and a tear ran down her cheek. �Goku�please�save her�I don�t want�her to�feel the pain�I felt�because of Ajiin�� She sobbed loudly and Goku took her in his arms, shushing her. �It�s alright, Kitaria. I won�t let her die,� Goku soothed. Kitaria looked back up at him. �You - you won�t?� she asked. Goku shook his head. Kitaria forced a smile. She looked down, and then gave him a determined look. �Then let�s do away with this menace.� But before they could do anything, Gayah had split the beams of her Comet Warp and most of them hit Ajiin. Gayah breathed heavily, and was using a lot of her energy just to suspend herself in the air. �I just know I didn�t get him,� Gayah breathed. Before she could react, she saw a beam coming straight for her. She didn�t have the energy to move. She really thought she was finished. But luckily for her, Goku used his Instant Transmission, grabbed her by the waist, and transported her away from the beam just in time, back to Kitaria. �Goku, we have to get Gayah a Senzu Bean! It�s our only hope right now!� Kitaria informed. �Yeah, I know. I�ll go back to Capsule Corp and get them. I left them there by accident. I�ll only be a minute. Just put Gayah behind that large rock down there until I get back,� Goku ordered. And with that, he transported to Capsule Corp. Kitaria grabbed Gayah and flew her down behind the rock. �Gayah, sit here and don�t move. I�m going to take care of Ajiin,� Kitaria replied. As Kitaria flew off, powering up as well, Gayah just watched her go, having no strength to stop her. �I�m so useless�� Gayah told herself. �If I wouldn�t have been so careless when Ajiin absorbed me, none of this would be happening right now. What the hell is wrong with me?? I need to get it together! Goku and Kitaria are risking everything just so I don�t have to fight! And what do I do, go and screw things up! Now Goku is gone, getting a Senzu Bean and Kitaria flew off, looking for Ajiin. As soon as Goku comes back with a Senzu Bean, I�m taking it and kicking Ajiin�s ass for doing this to me!� After all of that ranting, she sat back against the cold stone, sighing deeply. She put her hand against her heart. �I just can�t take this anymore, Grandfather Gohan. I don�t know what to do. I�ve already watched all my friends and family die at the hands of this man, and I just don�t think we can beat him. I�ve had few doubts before, but nothing like this.� She sighed again. �You taught me so much about life, and it seems like King Cold all over again. I made a dimwitted move and it got me killed the first time. I had the honor to die quickly, but this time�I�m going slow.� Before she could finish, Goku appeared holding the bag of Senzu Beans. He knelt down and looked into the eyes of his older twin sister. He could see utmost pain and felt his heart crack. �Hold on, Gayah. Take this, and you�ll feel better,� he soothed as he reached into the bag, pulled out a Bean, and inserted into her mouth. She chewed, and she could slowly feel her energy returning to her. Goku helped her to stand. �How you feel?� �Better. C�mon Goku, I�ve had just about enough of this. I�m tired of letting this guy win. We have to do something before he wreaks more destruction!� Gayah remarked. She powered up and flew to the sky, looking for Kitaria. Goku followed her, and they found Kitaria standing in the air, holding Ajiin by the throat. He was bleeding from the head and arms, and only one of his eyes were open. Kitaria turned her head. �I was wondering when you two were going to show up. He really pissed me off, so I punched him in the head. That�s why he�s bleeding. Proud?� Kitaria smiled. Gayah and Goku just nodded, not knowing how to react. �You�you will�never beat me�� Ajiin coughed. �Is that so? Well, haven�t YOU learned that we don�t give up?� Goku asked. �Obviously�but that won�t�stop me�� he stuttered. Gayah just scowled at him. �You�re unbelievable! You can�t even recognize when you�re beaten! Pathetic!� Gayah snapped. Ajiin smiled. �You think I�m beaten? You�re the one who�s pathetic�� Ajiin started. His body laminated in a red light, and Kitaria let him go. �What the hell are you doing??� Kitaria demanded. �Destroying this whole planet at once. Your children will die again, Princess. Won�t you love to join them in the dead?� Ajiin laughed. All three Saiyans powered up and attacked him before he could do anything else. Ajiin went flying for the ground, but Goku got to him before he hit the ground and grabbed him by the collar. �If you think we�re going to let you get away with what you have done, you�re wrong! You think you can get away for killing my sons??� Goku demanded. He kicked him, sending him flying, and Kitaria grabbed him. �You think it�s funny to do what you did to me?? I think not,� Kitaria stated. She punched him in the stomach, and ran her hand in his face, sending him flying once more. Gayah caught him, smiling. �You, my friend, are in deep trouble. I have figured you out to the core, and you won�t have the advantage anymore!� she yelled. She sent a shockwave at him and he fell to the ground, stumbling to get up. And when he did, he looked up, seeing Kitaria, Gayah and Goku powering up a well-known attack� |
