| Chapter 1: Whats Really There It was dark. That can easily be explained. It was night. But why was Goku still awake? He wandered outside, not knowing what kind of feeling he felt going through his veins this time. Why cant I shake it off? I know something is definitely wrong here, he whispered to himself. Goku? He turned around and saw his wife, ChiChi, standing there, looking as worried as ever. Her hair was flowing over her shoulders; a sight you rarely see. Whats the matter? Why are you still up? She walked over to him and placed her soft hand on his strong arm. Oh, Ijust cant sleep, thats all. Go back to bed, honey, Goku assured her with a forced smile. Goku, I know somethings wrong. I can feel it in you. What is it? ChiChi asked again. Its nothing. I dont want you to worry about it. Please ChiChi, just go back to bed, Goku urged. He kissed her forehead and started to nudge her away. Why are you pushing me away? ChiChi whimpered. Because. I dont want you to be concerned, Goku answered. I dont have much of a choice, do I? Youre my husband. Im supposed to know everything, ChiChi stated. If you knew everything, it would be too hard on you. Thats why I keep things from you sometimes. Because Im protecting you, Goku remarked. I understand that, dear. But I have to know. You worry me, ChiChi commented. Please ChiChi, dont worry about it. If I know that its something that you can handle, Ill tell you. Until then, you cant know. Im sorry, he apologized. ChiChi nodded. Okay. Ill see you in the morning. Hopefully by then everything will be better, ChiChi said. She kissed Gokus cheek, and walked back in the house. Goku watched her go. He turned around again and looked at the sky. I hope youre right, ChiChi. I hope in the morning everything will be better, Goku sighed. But I still have no idea what this could be. Or maybe my mind is running wild. I just dont know. He felt a strong hand on his shoulder. He turned his head and saw Gayah. She looked concerned. Why are you still awake? Its 1 in the morning. Is something bothering you? I heard ChiChi get into bed, saying something about hoping everything is going to be okay. Care to tell me whats going on? Gayah asked. I feel something. I dont know what it is. I just have thisfeeling. And Im not sure what kind of feeling it is, Goku started. The feeling that you never thought you would feel? Like complete emptiness? Yeah, Ive been feeling that too, Gayah answered. You have? For how long? Goku asked. A few days. When it first started, it wasnt that noticeable, but nowits getting worse. I think something is coming, Gayah thought aloud. Goku nodded. Me too. Ive never felt anything like this before. Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu were both filled with evil, butthis is much different, Goku said. Each one is worse than the last, Goku. Thats how its always been. From Raditz to Buu. And thats how its always going to be, Gayah informed. I know that. But I really wish that these things wouldnt happen, Goku informed. We all do. But for right now, we just have to enjoy as much of life as we can before it ends suddenly, Gayah commented. Goku looked up. Youre right. And I know what I have to do, Goku replied. He kissed his sister on the cheek. Thanks for coming out here. At least I know that Im not the only one feeling the pain. Gayah smiled. You never are. Good night. And with that, Gayah walked back in the house. Goku sighed. I died twice already. If Im going to die a third time Goku faded off. He walked in the house and into his bedroom where ChiChi was fast asleep. I hate to wake her He got in bed and nudged her easily. Her eyes opened and she looked at Goku. Goku? What is it? she asked. He leaned down and kissed her passionately on the lips. He moved away when he realized ChiChi needed to catch her breath. G-Goku? Are you alright? Im fine. But right now, ChiChi, all thats on my mind is you, Goku whispered. ChiChis eyes widened. Uhh Goku kissed her again, wrapping his arms around her, not wanting to ever let go. And he never did let her go, for he joined them together that night, showing their love for one another. And straight after, they fell asleep in each others arms. |
