Love at First Sight

I never believed in love at first sight
Though when I first saw you I fell
How is it, one minute I can just meet you
And the next minute know you so well
Ive never felt my heart so much
As it beats without control
And even though I cant explain
I want this with all my soul
I have never felt so much alive
Never had the chance
And you know all that changed
At that mysterious first glance
So maybe I cant live without you
Or maybe Ill know you till I die
What if I will never see you again
I wouldnt be able to say goodbye
I think I need you too much
You are everything I could ask for
And everything I need in a friend
There isnt anything I want more
This crush
Happiness

Along came a butterfly
Fluttering across the sky
And I thought of you
Past went a puppy dog
Splashing after a little frog
And I thought of you
Up came the sun one-day
And the darkness seemed to run away
And, yes, I thought of you
The clouds covered suns bright rays
In their fluffy, happy cloud-like ways
Guess what?! I thought of you!
So in every song Ive heard them sing
And all the laughter bright days bring
I always seem to find it true
That happiness makes me think of you.

My Good Friend

Laughing and talking, under the shade of the tree
My good friend, my good friend, where could you be?
The haunting and chanting theyve instilled in me
My good friend, my good friend, where could you be?
Im worried, its dark, and you I cant see
My good friend, my good friend, where could you be?
They said that in fear, youd decided to flee
My good friend, my good friend, where could you be?
Trusting you instincts is always the key
My good friend my good friend, where could you be?
So I sit and I wait oh so impatiently
My good friend, my good friend, where could you be?
I need you right here the way you once were
I look to the sky with my vision a blur
And I think and I whisper in hopes you might hear
I hope that your safe, I shiver with fear
You have to be alright and all intact too
If you werent alive I dont know what Id do
So open your ears, as I faintly plea
My good friend, my good friend, come back to me.

Life

The old man reached for his cane
Stepped out of the shop, into the rain
Turned to walk down the street
Tapping his cane in rhythm with his feet
His hair became sleek and wet
He picked up his pace, he wasnt soaked yet
His apartment building was just further down the street
He figured he could push it, it was just a few feet
White light, sirens red, flashing down the drive
Rushing people, turned heads, is he still alive?
Angels hang overhead, glistening, heads bent
The miracle of his life, gone it went
His spirit reached out for angels fair hand
One on each side, drift up to heavens land
Passing through skyscrapers reaching high
Drifting, effortlessly, through the sky
Up through the clouds, past the moon, touching stars
Far away from this world of ours
Yet here on earth you stand and mourn
While he is whisked away by heavens messengers and reborn
Immortalize his spirit as well as you are able
The lingering idea of the empty seat at the table
