Dear Diary, 5:00AM!!! Not my ideal time to get up. Well what's going on? Wasn't the plane leaving at 7:30AM? I was so confused, but all came back to me when I was more awake. How could I forget the securities, the checking-in, getting the boarding passes, oh and getting ready and drive down to Pearson Airport? Careless me. Anyways, when my family and I got to the airport, we checked in. That took awhile... one word that described it all was Boring Zzzz... lol. Finally, which seemed like a century, we went through all the securities. Then I shopped at the Duty Free stores, but didn't purchase anything due to the higher prices than that of the stores outside of the airport in Mississauga!
At last, I was on the plane. I mean I just couldn't sit in the seat outside of Gate C34 for another second... because that was where my parents decided to stay for the last hour before the flight. :'( Another torturing hour!
Flight to Rome, Italy (8-hour flight)
Yah well, during the 8-hour flight from Mississauga, Canada to Rome, Italy was well... what can you say, boring. I watched 2 movies - Monsters Inc. and I am Sam (a heartbreaking story... I cried :'( )- and a few music videos. Then I of course listened to music, and chat with people. Sleep? Well not really because when I get to Rome, it's 12:00 midnight, so ya, you get the point. Thank God, the plane ride was FINALLY OVER! Mmm....Oh did I mention that the food was great on the plane. These were probably the best ones yet eaten on planes. Hehe! Suddenly, when the plane was about to land, a loud noise could be heard... sort of like a chunk of the plane was broken off!!! :S:S:S:S Uh Oh... the next thing I knew it, all the emergency exit signs lighted up! I thought we were in trouble.... a lot of people were scared out of their wits! But thank God, we arrived safe and sound at Rome, we had a great landing. Many, including I, cheered happily with sighs of relief. Then we all lined up and waited patiently for our turn to get off the plane; oops my mistake as this only applied to people going to Rome. Before I confuse you any further, maybe I should mention that our plane carried people going to 2 different areas in Italy - Rome and Venice. Cool ain't it? Well after we got our luggages, we met our tour guide and got acquainted with some other people on our tour. You know what I found out, it wasn't just my family and I who missed the 1st day of the tour, but almost a big half of the people who signed up for the tour. Then we got onto a coach and looked out the window at the night view of Rome. It was very bright as there were so many street lights and so many buildings. It was so pretty, and so ever romantic! Our destination was reached by 12:00 midnight right on the nose. Beverly Hills was where we stayed, and even though it was only a three-star hotel, it was very nice and neat. After I did all my hygenic routines, I sank fast asleep on the all-so-comfortable bed... Night! (S)
