[ H-T : unkown ] This hastely arranged match, which was threatened with postponement went ahead by courtesy of Dorking Saints supplying Eastwick with three players to assist the seven(7) that we could muster : Namley : Richard Essex , Steve Moore, David Haylings , Eric Smith, Paul Woods and fine debuts for Peter Austin and Howard Miles. From reports that I have received the match was played in an excellent spirit and enjoyed by all, despite the wind and rain. The venue proved to be a good playing surface and had fine bar facility afterwards, always important at our age. |
