| The Daddy I Loved (But Never Knew) |
![]() |
| I loved you, Daddy I hope you see; When I could see you, I was scared; I hadn't seen you since I was three. I was afraid you'd be dissappointed in how I had turned out, But I always loved you Daddy. Now when I'm ready to see you, You're not there any more, You said good-bye, But when I heard it happened it hurt. They told me your put a gun to your head and said good-bye, But they didn't tell me if you were cremated or burried in the dirt. Now you're in heaven. Watching me from above; I just wanted you to know, You're the Daddy I loved! |
| This poem is dedicated to my father and family on that side. James Sterling Martin JR shall forever live on in our hearts. |
