Post Course Reflection

I feel that this year has been very productive for me as far as writing and being a better student. Thee works that we wrote this year I felt weren't as tedious or as boring as past works. Probably because everything we wrote was from either our own experiences or our own opinions. Every essay that I wrote this year I didn't necessary enjoy, but I also didn't hate them either. It's not as if I would spend hours and hours writing an essay and struggling to think of what to write. Writing expository essays came easy to me and it was a form of writing which was productive.

What I did like about this course was our debates and how we argued over different ideas. Though it may not have dealt with expository writing, I did enjoy our "fishbowl" sessions. I didn't totally enjoy our peer editing and regents review session, but I know they were only meant to help us out in the end. Which I felt they mostly did. The pieces that I enjoyed the most were probably the personal narrative essay and the biography essay. I really don't have anything bad to say about this course and I would recommend students who feel writing comes easy to them to try it out. The work may seem like a lot, but in reality, it's not a lot. When the course ended, I couldn't believe how fast the semester went by. I enjoyed my classmates and our humoristic attitude. It made the day go by easier. I enjoyed the class overall and felt my semester in expository writing was a success.
