Young Boy Responsible For Deaths Of Two Young Boys And Attempted Murder of Another By HUGO

A young English boy named Jack Merridew has been charged with the responsibility of the deaths of two young boys, Simon a choir boy and a boy known as Piggy on the island. He is also charged with attempted murder of another, Ralph one of the leaders. The instances were said to have occurred while the boys crashed off there plane and became stranded on an island for what seemed to be months. The charges be brought against him are manslaughter, accomplice to murder, and attempted murder.

The many witnesses on the island, who were the other English boys stranded on the island, identified each instance where Simon and Piggy were killed and where Ralph was nearly killed.

The first that was said to be killed was the young choir boy named Simon. As the young boys were having a feast after they killed a pig, they began chanting and raving “Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!” They soon came into a circle and began running around. Soon after a thing came out crawling from the forest and it turned out it was Simon. Jack then saw the thing and yelled out “Him! Him!” They hunters along with Jack then circled what was really Simon and stabbed him to death with spears chanting “Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!“ as Simon was trying tell them what he had seen up on the mountain.

The second incident occurred when Piggy was killed. It happened while Ralph and Piggy went to Castle Rock in order to try and talk some sense into Jack’s tribe. But no one would want to listen. Soon after Roger pushed a great boulder off the cliff and struck Piggy in the head. Piggy had no chance to say or even do anything. He then went flying and fell to his death as his head landed on a rock and cracked open.

The third incident occurred when Jack and his tribe were in total control. Ralph was the only one from the original tribe left. He was all on his on. He tried to hide from the hunters and Jack, but they soon lit the forest on fire in order to smoke him out so they could find him and kill him. They then found him and tried to kill him with spears as Ralph screamed and yelled with fear and desperation. But Ralph was saved when he became rescued with the others and they all soon came to there senses not believing what had happened.

Jack Merridew will go on trial on Friday, October 25, 2002 and proceed form there. The outcome will then be known of whether Jack is guilty or not of the charges brought against him.

Schoolboy Murders 2 Innocent Children By JOSH

Jack Merridew a 12-year-old English schoolboy was in court today for killing 2 kids and tried to attempt
another. And may be sentenced for manslaughter. This
happened when all the children where being evacuated
from England. Then the plane crashed on an island.
Many children were on that plane. The children decided
to pick a leader, it was between Ralph and Jack. Ralph
won the decision-making. Jack was jealous of Ralph. So
he decides to make a tribe. Over time his tribe got
bigger until Piggy and Ralph are left alone. Simon
gets killed because Jack thinks he is the beast. And
Jack yelled "Kill The Beast". So his tribe attacks Him
until he is dead. Piggy dies because Roger throws this
big boulder and kills Piggy while they were at Castle Rock. Now Ralph is running for
his life until he falls on the floor and sees a
naval officer. They all get saved and are all shocked because they realize what they have done.. And go back to the
civilization that they formally belonged to. Jack will be sent to court where they will decide whether he is guilty
for all the horror he has caused.

Boy Left On Island Unchecked Becomes Savage By HUGO

While the boys became stranded on the island, they also became separated from the lives that they lived. The boys were now gone from the civilization in which they were taught right from wrong. They were stuck on this island until someone found them and now they had to make decisions all on there own.

From the beginning of there stay the young boys first chose who was to be leader for there group. All chose Ralph as leader, but Jack became angered from this and it all went downhill from there. Jack desires power above all other things: he is furious when he loses the election to Ralph and continually pushes the boundaries of his role in the group.

Jack soon becomes obsessed with hunting, especially for pigs, and devotes himself to the task. He even paints his face like a savage would. The more savage Jack becomes, the more he is able to control the rest of the group, which supports his immoral actions of violence and savagery.

As Ralph said during the trial, “He is thirsty for power.” Piggy was quoted saying, “His savage instincts took control of him.” SannEric also took part and said, “Jack manipulated all of the other sot join his tribe and join him in his ruthless acts.”

As the trial went on we were able to

see the true side of Jack. Jack produced horrible crimes of murder because of his actions. From that insight we

were able to see why Jack was convicted guilty of his crimes by the jury.

Jack’s love of authority and violence are connected, which make him feel powerful and happy. As Jack said during the trial for his acts, “It was all for fun.” Savage instincts in him gave him control of the others as he used violence and savagery. What could cause a young boy lose his moral sense and become savage. What possessed him to do what he did. Only Jack knows now.

The Correct Decision Was Made

In my opinion the right decision was made in this trial against Jack Merridew. Jack was found guilty of all the charged brought against him and I feel that this decision was a no brainer. Jack was obviously guilty as the jury said as well. The prosecution brought itself a great case to court these past couple of days and because of that they were able to find and convict that Jack was guilty of the murders of Simon, Piggy and the attempted murder of Jack.

Though Jack may not have done the killing himself he was still there and he provoked the others to kill him. While on the island Jack manipulated the others to join his tribe where they would have “fun.” But what he really meant was have fun with those who were against him by trying to kill them. And he did so to two innocent children. Jack was responsible for the deaths of Simon, Piggy and attempted murder of Ralph. From his actions Jack will pay and be punished.

Jack’s savage instincts took over him and because of that he and his tribe committed murder. Jack shouldn’t be able to get away from a horrible crime like this and he didn’t. Jack Merridew will spend the rest of his youth and life locked up in prison for his treacherous acts.
