George Sinclair

At this time not much is known about George.  His wife's name was Eunice/Eunis.  In 1776 George of Butler Co, OH enlisted as a Private in the N.J. In 1820 he applied for a pension and listed his wife as age 66 and had 2 dau and 1 son.  George had 120 acres of land granted June 19, 1823 in Lycoming, PA.  His will, made out in 1820, was probated in Probate Court, Butler, Hamilton, OH in 1833.  It reads:

"In the name of God, Amen:    I George St Clair of Hanover township, in the county of Butler and State of Ohio, being weak of body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being sound, etc, blessed be God for the same, do make and publish this, my last will and testament, in manner and from following (that is to say):

She my wife Unis St Clair to have her living out ofthe premises during her natural life.  I give and bequeth unto my Reuben St Clair fifty Dollars to be paid by son Francis St Clair within one year after my decease.  I also give and bequeth unto my daughter Eunis Ruder fifty dollars to be paid by aforesaid Francis St Clair within one year ofter my decease.  I give and bequeth unto each of my other daughters, viz Mary Allen, Elizabeth Conn and Hannah St Clair to each of them One Dollar and to my son George St Clair I give and bequeth One Dollar. Where as there is a Revolutionary Claim for land now depending, if the same should ever be had or got, after the expenses are paid on the same, it is my desire the same constitute and ordain my Francis St Clair, able executor of this my last will and testament. Hereby revoking all wills by me made.
