He moved to OH and then to Fulton Co., IL. He later moved to MO. (Records of Linda L. HOLM, DeWitt, MI). He made his first trip to Texas Co., MO in 1848 as a circuit rider of the Disciples of Christ. He held recorded services at Rocky Ford on the north prong of Jack's Fork and at Jonathan Nagel's house in the present Nagel community.
