| I am currently in the 5th -and last- year of my studies as an electrical and computer engineer (ECE) in the University of Patras. The truth is that, until recently, I was not paying adequate attention to my courses in the university.Why should I ? I was a good student without even going to courses(until the 4th year, I had attented only 11 hours! ),keeping notes,or studying. Not only until the last year,did I understand that I could devote my life to this science...And believe me, It worths it! |
| My diploma thesis is about developing a software methodology which can deduce/optimize the power consumption of an algorithm/program (DTSE MODEL). I think that power optimization in embedded systems, achieved by hardware / software co-synthesis, is a field that is yet quite unexplored (especially software transformations). |
| I am currently bulding a DWT(Descrete Wavelet Transformation) both S/W H/W engine. Until now I have implementedl different approches of the one dimension-DWT and some of the 2D-DWT in C language.Until April, I will have a VHDL design of the engine I have allready submitted a paper, it has been reviewed and will be presented in Sidney in February 2001. | Two other fields that draws my attention are Robot programming and bioengineering/biomedical engineering. Our world is still primitive.I think that robots and their applications, in every-day life will be the future of humanity.Robotics-Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering are fields which can be strongly conbined.
