Strep and Staph and E. coli, Oh My!!!!!

Welcome to the Microbiology lab homepage for Summer Session I, 2001. This page was originally set up for that class; if you are a subsequent TA or TA's, feel free to modify it at any point, or move it to your own site. Please do NOT move files that are shared with the Botany class; you may copy them, I have no copyright on any of this material.

To find journal articles, try a search here, find the abstract, and then go to Evans library to find the article. http://www4.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/ Alternatively, ask the reference people to help you do a search; they'll know good websites to use. The medical library on West Campus might be useful to those of you with classes over there. Now that that's covered, for my students, this page lists my policies, describes my attitude towards class, offers some advice, gives contact information, and usually reminds you of any tests, quizzes, projects, etc. that are coming up. I do ask that you try and check it for updates prior to attending class. It is ONLY used as an extra source of information, it is NOT essential to the class, and as such, it will be updated as time allows, not on a daily basis. If you're having problems with me, my teaching style, any of the subjects we're covering, microscope usage, etc. please check this page for my policies on those matters FIRST (if possible) before contacting me or Dr. Moyes.

My goal in lab is to have a safe, fun, and enjoyable summer experience that lets you learn to look at the world thru a microbiologist's eyes. I want everyone to learn as much as possible, and to enjoy it as much as possible. If you're having trouble, please contact me and I will do my best to help.
