CLASS HARASSMENT/DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Part of my job is to provide a discrimination and harassment-free environment for my students to learn. Whether it's legal or not, I won't discriminate or harass, my students aren't allowed to, and if we have any "guests" in the room, I'll kick them out if they do. If you find something another student is doing, saying, or wearing offensive, let me know ASAP. If you'd like, we can go into the hall to discuss it privately, or meet after lab. I won't tolerate this behavior--your right to an education that you paid for supercedes their right to free speech. It's another matter entirely outside my classroom, but inside my classroom it isn't allowed. I don't foresee any problems, but let me know if one should occur. Basically, students in my classes can be pro-anything (except hate groups), but negativity towards others is strongly discouraged. If someone or something is creating an uncomfortable learning environment for you, let me know. On another note, I know that I often have students with learning disabilities. If you have one, or have trouble focusing and need to be up front, or can't hear or see well, please let me know and I will accomodate you.
