The doctors found a little more in his chest and put in drain tubes to keep out any other problems. He is still having some frustration due to the fact that we are having a very hard tme trying to understand him. Michael told him that he should never play charades.I think that some of the problem is due to the fact that his lips and tongue are twice there normal size.

Lynn called to say that dad is having a lot of pain from the surgey. I found out that they spread the already broken ribs to scrap this stuff out. All this after they layed him on his side with broken ribs.
As Terry becomes more alert he is starting to experience some fear of what the future brings. We have been told that this is good as it tell us that his mind is coming back and this is some of the things that they knew that he would do.

They went in today to remove material that was left in to help with the draining, they left in the tubes for futher draining. At some point this week they put a plug/valve in his trake. so that he can talk while still using O2. It was truly wonderful to hear dad talk again!

Lynn was told that Terry would be moved today to a regular room in 4 north wing. As of this update I do not have a room # to give out. They are still looking for the cause of the infections. I still remember that 1st day as if it were today and how God listened to the prayers of so many people and gave us more time with dad.
