Bug-Slayer
Bug Slayer In the Rain
Original Art done by Mickmo in May 1997, Computer Coloring done in July 2002 also by Mickmo.
I did this piece when it was raining on a spring day. So I touched up the old piece and made it more emotional then it already was, putting in more blues to bring out the isolated sadness this piece was trying to convey. It is Bubba Frank, outcast on a cold and stormy Kansas City night, before the Bug Plagues and out from work. He is walking around the subdistrict of Westport at dusk, lonely to the world that sleeps. The rain pours on his tattered clothes. The number 90 is Neil Smith's number when he used to play for the Chiefs.
