HANGING OUT WITH AVRIL AND THE GANG
SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES
There were a bunch of things going on in Sydney
so i decided to go up for the weekend.
i stayed with the Michaels' former roommate, Avril,
who moved to Sydney from Brisbane about 7 months ago.
Me, Avril, her girlfriend Jo, and housemate Daniel INSTANTLY
hit it off and we had a great time all weekend.
We went for a big night out on Oxford Street,
bar hopping and dancing at 4 different places.
The biggest hit was the Slit Magazine : Wet Issue Launch party at DCMs
where we had the honor of watching 3 women
stand up on stage and pee on each other.

I guess, it's not a party unless there's golden showers!

I also went to this lesbian book club, Literary Lesbians.
The idea of the group is to read a new piece
of lesbian-authored or themed literature

and then discuss it -
thoughts, feelings, history, interpretations and all that groovy stuff.

We did more gossiping and checking out the women
than talking about the book though... (go figure)
We met at the Coogee Women's Pool, a  women and children only venue,
built into the rocky cliffs on the coast of Sydney.
This was not a regular swimming pool, but a pool filled with ocean water
from waves that break onto one side.
It only costs $0.20 to get in and it's suitably secluded,
with plenty of hidden rocks, for nude sunbathing if you prefer.
