for how we two are related.

But you're so much more

than an "in-law" to me

that a new name should be created.

"Sister-in-family"

sounds so much better

for someone as special as you.

And "sister-in-friendship"

describes how I feel

in words that are so much more true...

You're a sister in caring,

a sister in sharing

laughter and family events.

You're a sister I turn to

for great conversation

and time that's always well-spent.

I know that we didn't

grow up as sisters,

like blooms on the same family tree...

But I want you to know

on your special day

that you have a real sister in me.
