Three Favorite Work Samples Reflections
Search Mechanism Review
I really enjoyed doing this assignment and I feel I did a nice job on it.  I am a googler and have a hard time breaking away from my comfortable favorite but this assignment forced me to branch out.  Ixquick was a high end metasearch engine and by high end I mean the audience it reaches.  While it advertises as a search for just about everyone, it is not one I would recommend to students and I am glad I had the opportunity to find that out.  I certainly will use it however, to create Filamentality pages for teachers and classes.  Without the challenge, I would not have know about it.
Favorite Posting
My favorite posting was the one about technology integration and how we as LMTs can assist teachers.  I really felt like a true LMT when I wrote this posting and it made me miss what I used to do and know I can be doing for the school.  I truly believe in what I wrote and can attest for it after taking this course.  Training teachers on new technology is crucial to them wanting to and feeling comfortable enough to use it.  If we don't give them the time to be exposed, then to investigate with us there, then to really internalize it to a degree they are comfortable with, they will never want to try it.
Webpage
I chose the assignment of creating a webpage as one of my favorites.  It was a huge challenge for me to create it but once I learned, I have really had a great time.  I know I will run into more minor frustrations as I try to learn other webpage design programs but after completing this webpage, I feel confident that I'll know what to do.  I appreciate the fact that I was forced to do something like this because it has directly influenced me in a positive way.  This was fun, difficult, fulfilling, satisfying, gratifying and many more things all wrapped up in one.
