NEWS of the DAY

The Mach 1 will return during the fourth quarter of this year.  Ford unveiled the lastest product from their "Living Legends" studio last week during the New York Auto Show.

While details are still being worked out, the Mach 1 will feature the 4.6L engine from the Cobra with 300+ HP.  Another item of note is that both a manual and automatic will be available.  This is something that will allow the "Mach 1" to appeal to even more Mustang enthusiants.  While last year's "Bullitt" Mustang was a huge hit and all 6500 sold out quickly, there are those of you out there who prefer an automatic.

Ford has gone to great lengths to assure everyone that this will be one of the best Mustangs yet.

Pricing has not been set as of this release, but expect pricing to be around $28,500.

More Exciting News for Mustang Fans

In the current issue (May 2002) of Automobile magazine, future cars are the topic of one story and the highly anticipated "new" Mustang is one of the cars featured.  The article refers to the car as a 2004 MY (see picture below).  The styling cues and lines evoke the passion and glory of the late 1960's Mustangs.

The lines are true to the heritage of the classic Mustangs that dominated the streets during Detroit's hey days of the 1960's & early 1970's.

Rumor has the current 3.8L V6 being replaced with a new 3.0L V6 and the long awaited return of the 5.0 engine for the GT.

More details will follow as the 2003 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) draws closer.

Stay tuned for more Mustang News in the future.
