Jonathan Oakes is maintaining our web site.  The address is http://www.geocities.com/michiganbassbusters/.  In the future he will e-mail all members, and we won’t mail out newsletters.  You can e-mail Jonathan any information or pictures to [email protected].

The club dues of $50.00 are due by the November general meeting.  Avoid the $10.00 late fee!  You can mail to my attention at 1179 Beach Drive Lake Orion, MI 48360.

The  executive meetings are back at Ripples.  The next meeting is Tuesday November 26 at 7:00 pm.  Hope to see you there!

The Showspan show will be held from January 29 - February 3.  The show has been moved to Ford Field.  Mark these days in your calendar.  This is how we raise most of our money!  We need a volunteer to coordinate the work schedule.

We need to get ready for next year.  We have expanded the board to seven members.  We are looking for nominations for all positions.  The vote will be at the December meeting.

Anyone who would like to be next year’s tournament director must write a letter to Ron Van Gordon.  State why you should be director and how you would benefit the club. Applications are due no later than the November general meeting.  Any member should bring suggestions for next year’s tournaments to the upcoming meetings.

Some members were interested in new shirts and jackets.  We have 2 large shirts remaining.  They are $28.00.  Let me know at the meeting if you want a shirt. Bring money to the meeting if you purchased but have not paid for your clothing. We also have hats and patches available for sale.

Anyone considering a boat should consider the following benefits of buying a Ranger boat.  The State Federation renewed a contract with Ranger.  Any federation member buying a Ranger/Mercury package will get the following benefits:  a Ranger Cup shirt and free $700.00 boat cover.  The federation will get a $200.00 account credit.  Tell the salesman are club number is 460.

Berkley Big Bass Award.  Anyone catching the big bass of the tournament using a Berkley product is eligible for Berkley’s grand prize of fishing with Jay Yelas.  Each winner must advise the tournament director.  The tournament director turns the form into Dennis Beltz.  The forms are due no later than March 29, 2003.  No cheating please!

Membership Drive.  If you know anyone interested in joining our club, let them know.  We want to get them on the roster by April.  They must attend 2 club functions.  We would vote on membership at the following meeting.
