I am coordinating the trout pond schedule for the Silverdome fishing show. The show is from January 30 to February 3. This year we are supplying help for the trout pond, and our man hours will be less. However, we will be assisting vendors as needed for setup and tear down. Our most important time for volunteers are Tuesday from 9:00 to 8:00 , Wednesday 9:00 to 2:00, and Sunday 5:00 to 9:00. Information is available at http://showspan.com/. Contact me at the meeting, banquet, 248-693-1482, or at [email protected]. We need to pass out posters and flyers for the fishing show. They will be available at the meeting and the banquet.
We want to thank Ron Gulfoil Jr. for his youth club presentation at the December meeting. Don Schemanske will be the president of the youth club. If you know any kids between 10 - 18 years old, contact Don at 734-525-9408.
Sell raffle tickets. Benefits are: $.50 per ticket, 1 entry for each 500 tickets sold, the club selling the winning ticket receives $1000.00, and every 500 sold tickets receives an entry for an additional $500.00 pot. We need you to sell your raffle tickets!
Ed Schiller was appointed tournament director. He has sent in permits for this year’s tournaments. He will give an update at the January meeting.
We won’t have a January executive meeting.
We wanted to have a vote for the board. However there were no other nominations. The officers remain: President Ron VanGordon, Vice-President Jim Fletcher, Secretary Paul Sacks, and Treasurer Jay Berwick.
We are looking for new members. We would like to have new members by the March meeting. The fish-off count is determined by the roster submitted at the April Presidents’ meeting. New members must attend 2 club functions, and they would be voted at the 3rd meeting.
Is there interest in a Ice Fishing Tournament? Bring your suggestions to the January meeting.
Is there interest for a Spring fishing trip?
