DECEMBER 2001 NEWSLETTER
The general club meeting is set for Thursday December 13, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.. Location is Commissioners room A 1200 Telegraph road Pontiac, MI.
Jonathan Oakes is maintaining our web site. The address is http://www.geocities.com/michiganbassbusters/. In the future he will e-mail all members, and we won’t mail out newsletters. You can e-mail Jonathan any information or pictures to [email protected].
We want to welcome our 2 newest members: Henry Montney and Ed Foote.
We offer our condolences to Bob Olds and his family. His mother Georgia died last week.
A standing motion was passed at the November meeting. Any president that has completed a term regardless of current status (present President or past President) is designated as a trustee.
Ron Gulfoil Jr. Will be a guest speaker at the December meeting. He will be discussing establishing a youth club and performing youth projects. We have a tentative guest speaker for the January meeting. If you have any suggestions for guest speakers, please advise the executive board.
The banquet will be held on Friday January 25th at the 300 Bowl. We will need the final count at the December’s meeting. We will vote on the menu. Please bring your suggestions.
Anyone receiving multiple awards and would like them consolidated on fewer plaques should contact Bill Head at 248-363-6366. This will help the club save money!
We will receive the Federation raffle tickets at the December meeting. These make good Christmas presents, and you will be helping the club! We are looking for a Raffle Ticket Director. Please volunteer and help the club.
Anyone interested in being next year’s tournament director should submit a letter to Ron VanGordon detailing why and what you would do. Ron will make the announcement at the December general meeting.
Requests for tournaments permits can be submitted after January 1st. If you have any lake suggestions, please bring them to the December meeting.
We are taking nominations for the board. All 4 positions are available. Your must be a member of the club for 1 year. The elections will be held at the December general meeting.
Club dues were due at the November meeting. We paid the state dues at the December’s presidents meeting. Late dues are $60.00.
I am coordinating the trout pond schedule for the Silverdome fishing show. The show is from January 30 to February 3. It is important to have everyone help. Showspan’s web site is http://www.showspan.com
The breakfast club is back at Ripples. They are held every Saturday at 9:00 am.
We will not have an executive meeting in December. We will advise if we have a January meeting.

Please note the following rule change for the federation series. The new late penalty is now 1 lb. per minute, disqualification after 15 minutes.
