APRIL 2002 NEWSLETTER
The general club meeting is set for Thursday April 11, 2002 at 7:30 p.m.. Location is Commissioners room A 1200 Telegraph road Pontiac, MI.

We want to welcome our newest members to our club. They are: Norm Robbins, Chris Schultes, Jason Johnson, and Scott Michals. We now have 40 active members in our club!
Raffle tickets are due at the April meeting. If you can’t make the meeting, call Ron Van Gordon at 810-632-4164 or 248-866-2101. Bring your tickets and money!
Let me know who wants to sign up for MUCC. The dues are $15.00 a year.
The breakfast club is back at Ripples. They are held every Saturday at 9:00 am. They will be held until decent fishing weather arrives.
Make sure Ed Schiller gets a copy of your B.A.S.S. card and boat insurance. You can not fish without proper documentation! Tournament entry fees for the Kent Lake and Portage Lake tournaments are due at the May meeting.
Some members are interested in a spring fishing trip. Dave Long has a timeshare available in Crossville, TN from April 28 - May 5. This is located between Knoxville & Nashville. We can stay for a half or full week. Costs will be determined by number going (max of 8 people). Let Dave know if you are interested. You can reach him at 248-473-5853 or [email protected]

We now have a junior bass club. There are 16 charter members. Their newsletter will be attached at the end of our newsletter. We are looking for volunteers.
The tournament entry fees will remain at $20.00. Half will go to the classic pot. Half will go to the top 5 anglers. The percentages will be 40%, 25%, 15%, 12%, and 8%.
We are looking for more participation at the executive meetings. Dave Fogleman attended March’s meeting. The executive board recommends a maximum 2 year consecutive term for the executive committee - except for treasurer.

Please note the following rule change for the federation series. The new late penalty is now 1 lb. per minute, disqualification after 15 minutes.

We had our first meeting on March 19th. The following were elected as officers:

The meeting dates are firm. However, the tournament dates are subject to change. There are 2 age groups, Smallmouth for kids under 11 and Largemouth for kids 11 and older.
