Solid Snake

Basically,Snake is the man who can make the impossible possible. After being first recruited by FOXHOUND,Snake was sent to OUTER HEAVEN to destroy a new form of bipedal nuclear equipped tank known as Metal Gear. After arriving,he rescued his friend and fellow FOXHOUND member,Gray Fox,destroyed the Metal Gear unit and brought down Outer Heaven for good. After that,Snake retired from FOXHOUND. He was with the CIA for a time and was even a mercenary for hire. But then he recieved a request from Roy Campbell,his former unit CO,to infiltrate Zanzibar land and stop a rising dictator who turned out to be Big Boss,his former superior. While there,he defeated Big Boss,had to fight his friend Gray Fox,destroyed another Metal Gear. After learning Big Boss was his genetic "father" Snake once again left and this time,went to live in Alaska.

After making a life for himself in Alaska,Snake then was contacted once again,by Roy Campbell,and asked for help in another incident. This time,he was sent in to infiltrate the nuclear weapons disposal facility on Shadow Moses Island. Terrorists took it over,and threatened if they did not recieve the remains of Big Boss within a 24 hour timeframe,they would launch a nuclear attack. Snake was sent in to stop this from happening.This time it was different. The terrorist group was being led by members of unit FOXHOUND,Snakes former group.And the leader of the group was a man called Liquid Snake,Solid Snakes genetic brother. It was revealed that they were cloned from Big Boss in a scientific project called "Les Enfants Terribles" in an attempt to make the ultimate soldier.After defeating the FOXHOUND members,and even a new Metal Gear,designated REX,Snake fled and formed a group with Hal Emmerich who he had met while on Shadow Moses. The group was called "Philanthropy" and was dedicated to the eradication of Metal Gear units all over the planet. Snake and Otacon recieved a tip of a new type of Metal Gear schedualed for transport on a tanker going off the coast of Manhattan. Snake infiltrated the tanker,got photographic evidence of it and sent the pictures to Otacon. But the tanker was hijacked by Shalashaska,a.k.a Revolver Ocelot,who Snake had faced while on Shadow Moses,and his cohert, Colonel Sergei Gurlukovich. Ocelot succeeded in sinking the tanker,killing everyone except for Snake,and stealing this new Metal Gear,designated RAY. After that,Snake all but disappeared until the offshore cleanup facility "Big Shell" was found to be housing a new Metal Gear. This Metal Gear was designated "Arsenal",has a payload of thousands of missles and could hold about 30 RAY units. Along with the help of a young rookie called "Raiden" Snake succeeded in putting an end to the terrorist action. Currently,Snakes location is unknown,but he is believed to be searching for the child of Olga Gurlukovch,the daughter of Sergei,in hopes that finding the child will give him information on the Patriots.
