Alohaz, Brah!

You are probably here because you know me or you got one of my cards.  Photography is my hobby, and I have a lot of fun with it.  I like to take pictures of people just doing what they do, usually they don’t even know I’m there.  It’s called “candid photography”.  So did I get a picture of you?

I try to catch little moments that we all can relate to.  It’s the stuff that makes us human. Like the cowboy watching the rodeo and holding his son, or the couple taking it easy on a Sunday afternoon at the beach.

I’m not trying to invade anybody’s privacy or embarrass anyone.  The people in my pictures are all out in public places.  If you have a concern, just email me.

Where does "Citizen of Earth" come from?

It started as a joke.  I was setting up my new computer a few years ago, and Windows asked for my name and the name of my company.  Since this was my home computer, I started to leave the space blank, but then in a flash of sarcasm I typed "Citizen of Earth".  I think I had Mark Twain's Letters from Earth in mind.  Since then it has taken on a significance all its own.  The phrase represents how I think about my ethnicity, being a mutt-mix of Polish, Irish, French, and American Indian, among other things.  It also applies to my love for travel.  Despite growing up in Effingham, Illinois, I developed a fascination with other countries, cultures and languages.  Primary among these is my fascination with Hawai’i and all things Polynesian.  I love Science Fiction too, so the phrase fits with an Intergalactic point of view.
