No Stranger to acoustic driven music, Sydney born Mick Raven has been performing acoustically for a number of years.
Back in 1996 he put together the 'SoundWaves Songwriters' which helped revive the Manly Fishermans Club, the Brookvale hotel, the Time and Tide hotel (Dee Why ) and the President hotel (Belrose ) to name a few. Artists such as iOTA, Skulker,Troy Kemp, Queen B and 30 others strutted their stuff at the SoundWaves Songwriters between 1996 - 97. These Venues went on to book live music with the Manly 'Fishos' still supporting original music today!

Before going solo, Mick performed in Northern Beaches band the 'Treasure Tree', which recorded on four compilation CD's 'Sensory Deprivation' 'Blind, Naked and helpless' 'Perfection is Boring' and the 'Rockafellas Xmas edition' before recording their CD 'Spinoff' in 1999.After they recorded their second CD 'Runes' in 2001 (which was never released) the band split. Mick went back to his first passion, the acoustic guitar.Having penned over 500 songs he was keen to get as much recorded and released as was humanly possible.

Back in the late eighties Mick recorded on a vinyl LP called 'Australia's Newest Bands' which was produced by Lonnie Lee (Aussie Icon who had a number one hit in 1960 called 'Starlight Starbright') he then landed a job as an entertainment consultant within one of the divisions of the Harbour Agency (established for 25 years) and began to learn the art of booking acts as well as performing live.

His relatives hail from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, one grandfather (Lal Turner) was vice president of the Dee Why Surf Club back in the 1930's while his other grandfather (Jack Banfield) performed as a Violinist on the Manly Ferries back in the 1950's.

With many shows behind him, Mick hopes to expand his influence with his second CD 'Tribal Spirit'
