| NOTES: I-94 is the only east-west interstate to form a direct connection into Canada (no such interstate ends at the Mexican border). At Port Huron, MI, I-94 crosses the Blue Water Bridge into Sarnia, ON, and becomes Highway 402, which can be used by motorists going to Toronto. In Chicago, I-494 and, later, I-694, were intended as loops that would follow Lake Shore Drive. Due to local opposition, these numbers were dropped. |
