Emily: Papered 'Hundred Acre Wood' with the Jockey
Club. Dam is Catch the Irish, Sire is Audited.
She is 20 months in
this picture, already standing at 15.1 hands. She is very sweet and
mannerly thanks to the imprinting we did early on. I believe that's also why she
has so much personality, she just loves to be handled. I anticipate her growing to
almost 18 hands. I would like to show her on the line as a two year old in 2001.
I'm going to start breaking her later this fall.

Sassy: My boy, he's 20 years here, and I've had him since he was 9. He's been very good to me, three Pony Club east coast show jumping championship teams, one of which he was awarded for his accuracy for jumping 5 courses at 3 feet in 3 days without knocking down any rails. In the last championship we went to, back in '94 we assisted our team in obtaining second place on the east coast, complete with silver medals. Two years later at 18 years old, we qualified for the Marshall and Sterling Adult Amateur Classic Finals. Since he was so good to me in his prime, I'm doing my best to be good to him. He is now semi-retired from the show circuit. He's still sound, but his age is catching up with him. Hes being worked lightly by a c1 pony clubber who is doing some rallys and light combined training with him to give her some mileage. He thinks this is ducky. Still getting spoiled, still going to shows and being a show off at half the workout.~ He'll always be a little 'ham' for attention.
Lady: Papered 'Catch the Irish' with the Jockey Club. She raced the tracks in Florida, Maryland and New York until she was around five. I bought her at 10 years old and I'm not very clear on her history after she her racing career ended. If you want my opinion, she would have made an excellent steeplechase horse. She is Emily's mom. Very sweet, excellent manners, loves to be spoiled. She got bored in the hunter ring practically over night, she hates counting strides. She loves combined training. She eats up cross country fences like a machine, and really seems to enjoy the challenge that dressage and stadium offer. I was only able to take her to 3 events this year, however we won Novice Rider the last time out. I was anticipating campaigning her some more in 2001, however her racing career has caught up with her and shes having some soundness issues. They appear to be over, as does her eventing career, we plan on trying some jumpers later this year and see how she holds up for it. Shes not too happy about the lack of cross country in her life these days, but que sera sera!, its just a bit to hard on her joints.
