| 10-24-00 Guess what? no news on the baby! I am sick of people asking me that. I'm sure if you're waiting you'll understand what i mean. But Guess What? I'm sick of waiting! Referrals are running about 9 to 10 months now. (sigh) When we started paper-chasing referrals were running 7 months. I hear China can't even keep up with the amount of dossiers they are receiving every month. That's great for all those babies waiting in orphanages. Bad for us because we have to wait longer to get our baby. I keep saying to myself....soon Halloween,....soon Thanksgiving......soon Christmas.....soon new years......soon Valentines day.......Soon we will get our referrral of our little Paige! soon we will travel to China to get her ;) |

| 03-02-01 UPDATE!! OK, i know i haven't posted in a while, but seriously there has'nt been anything to update. We are still waiting for our referral of little Paige Renee. We think it will come some time in April. When we first started the adoption process referrals were taking 7-9 months and have since grown to 11-12 months! Aaarg! The wait is driving us crazy, we are so excited and can't wait to go to China to pick her up. My mother in law is planning a baby shower for me in early May, and my mother also wants to have one for me in maybe the middle of May, so that is something to look forward to. I ordered a new computer with a scanner, so as soon as that comes i will scan pictures of the baby room and baby bathroom to this page. So check back often! And of course i will post A picture of Paige the moment i get one! |
| 04-08-01 Update!! there isnt really anything to update at this point. we are still waiting for a referral. The way things are going now we should have a referral by the end of the month! keep your fingers crossed for us! We are hoping that this China conflict thing will end soon, and it won't delay referrals out of China. Well i got my new computer, look for nursery pictures! |

| April 17, 2001 We received the call today!!! She was born on March 28,2000. Just over one year! Her Chinese name is Tan (tahn) Yu (you) Hui (whey) Tan Yu Hui . Soon to be known as Paige Renee YuHui . She is from Changsha (chahng-shah) Hunan province of China. As of February 5th 2001 she weighed in at 17.5lbs and was 26 in and has two teeth!We are so excited and cant wait to pick her up. We expect to travel in mid-June... |
