Obituary of Miss Anna Thelen in unknown Stearns Co. MN newspaper Tuesday August 15, 1972:
"Miss Anna Thelen, 91, 720 10th Ave. N., died Monday. She was born Oct. 13, 1880, in Spirng HIll, Minn., to the late Martin and Mary Thelen. For the past 33 years she has lived with Mrs. Clara Gacke here. Miss Thelen is survived by brothers and sister, Joseph and Jacob, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Eva Dirkes, Albany, Minn. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Spring Hill. Pallbearers will be Neil Gacke, Arnold Erdmann, William Dirkes, Wally Wedle, George Kaeter and Ivan Hanson. Friends may call at the Daniel Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today. St. Paul's parish will say the parish prayers at the funeral home at 8 p.m. tonight."
