Notes for August Carl Moritz Schelle
From the family records of Kurt Otto Shelle, Jr:
An example of using only two of the three names: Apparently August was named after his uncle, who also went by the name Carl Moritz. However, his son Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Schlle stated in his marriaged record that his father was August Schlle and he named his oldest sone "August Friedrich Carle Schlle." Thus we conclude Auguast was probably his first name. August went to Berlin at about the same time his father died. He was dead at the time of his son's wedding in 1825. He was a master engraver, which probably meant he posessed considerable artistic ability.
