Subject: Re: Roehrig
It is definetely from Germany. There are several ways to write this name indeed (i.e. Roehrich, which is more common in northern Germany). The way you write your name is very common in the Cologne area (where I am from). The little difference, I cannot type her, is just that in german language are some special forms of "a, u and o" which have two dots on it. So, if you'd write your name just "Rohrig" (with these dots on the "o"), it'll be the perfect version you'll find mostly in Cologne and around. My fathers family tree is just in Cologne as far as we can follow back into the past.Hope this will help you, don't hesitate to contact me under my e-mail address, if you have further questions. Best regards from Germany --- Helmut
