Notes for Christina A. Klapperich
Obituary from Melrose Beacon Newspaper, Melrose, MN during the 1st week of January 2000:
"Christina A. Peterson, age 96 of Sauk Centre died Sunday, Jan 2, at St. Michael's Hospital, Sauk Centre. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, Jan. 6 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre with the Rev. Timothy Wenzel officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Christina Peterson was born in New Munich, to Jacob and Appolonia (Homberg) Klapperich. She married Wallace E. Peterson on June 27, 1931 at the Assumption Catholic Church in St. Paul. She was employed by U.S. Bedding Company in St. Paul as a seamstress for 6 years. They moved to a farm near Sauk Centre in October of 1937 where she had resided ever since. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre. Survivors include her sons, Donald J. Peterson and his wife, Pearl of Albany, Ohio and Duane E. Peterson and his wife, Cheryl of Sauk Centre, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Wallace on Nov. 19, 1986, her son, Raymond on Nov. 26, 1982, brothers, William and Peter Klapperich, sisters, Mary, Katie and Gertrude Klapperich, Anna Schaefer and Louise Hageman, 1 granddaughter Catherine, twin grandsons in infance and two great grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Julie Meyer, JoAnn Nygren, Edward, Timothy Peterson and Patricia Cutlipand Rich Lewis. Cross bearer will be Donald Peterson, Jr. "
