| - Students will participate in the Real Game in class - Students will review vocabulary used in career studies - Students will begin to plan for future - highschool, college, university, apprenticeship or the world of work - Grade 8 students will complete course selections and review requirements for Ontario Highschool Diploma - Interested students will complete applications to specialized programs offered at area highschools (Arts Package, International Studies) - Students will use information gained to develop career exploration goals on students' Annual Education Plans - Students will have access to resources complete self assessment inventories and relate their own interests to a variety of careers - Students will be exposed to a variety of education and training programs available in Ontario, Canada and other countries - Students will create a resume and fill out job applications and complete job search activities - Students will participate in a Career Carousel Fair on a training day in March - Students will have an opportunity to attend the Elementary Skills Canada Competition at RIM Park in May 2004 |
