Happy Autumn! The picture above is from 2006.  Looks like we had some warm beautiful summer-like days in fall then too.  Last Sunday was in the 80's.  What a beautiful day.

Dave's parents were in town this past weekend. Jan's white blood cell count was high enough that she was feeling pretty good.  Glen helped Dave add a banister & handrail to our staircase.  When the inspector came for the final inspection on the addition he passed the new construction but failed us on our staircase.  It was quite open and unsafe - now it has spindles and lots of railing, thanks to Dave & Glen.  The inspector returns in a couple hours, we'll see what he says.  I'm hoping its good - I'm ready to just be done with things.

It was a very nice visit with the in-laws.  Jan's hair is falling out; in fact she had me get out the razor just to remove all the "loose fuzz".  That’s something I never thought I would do - shave my mother-in-law's head.  I'm sure there are married women out there that would love to do that - for different reasons.

She had her second round today.  Next week will be difficult for her.  May-be we'll get over there again soon to help with things.

Other things in life are good.  The kids and I are on our way to LOGOS.  It's the midweek kids program we offer at our church.  As Education Director, I'm in charge of the program.  I'm expecting about 80-some people there tonight.  Everyone is in costume, we're celebrating Halloween.  It’s always a lot of fun – the best part is dinner.  Someone else to cook is always good.  J

Well, I’d better run.  Have a wonderful rest of the week.  Special prayers going out to Aunt Barb & Uncle Dick, Rick & Nadine, Mike and Matt in CA.  Haven’t heard an update yet regarding status, hoping and praying all is ok with you.

Always, Michelle
