Hey there. Dave & the kids surprised me last week with a nice birthday (& a very gay picture of me from 1981). Today is Dave's birthday; I couldn't find any embarrassing pictures of him as a kid -- so this one of the cousins at the apple orchard last weekend will have to do. We had a great time - the kids thought it was pretty cool when I jumped over them on the hay bales -- you would have thought I was Evil Kneivel.
Things are going all right, I'm feeling depressed tonight. Dave's down on the treadmill & the kids are in bed. I can't seem to shake it, don't quite know why.
We went to GR last weekend for Friday night. I'm so glad we did. Dave's mom had a really bad night, passed out each time she got up to use the bathroom. First thing Saturday morning Dave & his dad took her to the hospital. The kids and I stayed back - doing laundry, groceries, etc. It's going to be a rough ride now that chemo is underway. Her particular protocol is really strong. I'm sure we'll being going there often to help out. I just feel so bad....
She's back at home now, just taking things day by day.
Dave's the big 41 today. He was easy to please - Tiger apparel & tools & Mexican for dinner. It was actually a really fun night - the first in a while where everyone was home (no meetings, friends over, work commitments, etc..). So nice.
Well, I'm going to cut this short. Have a great rest of the week. Always, Michelle
