Haight updates.....

Happy Father's Day.  Things have been very busy for us Haights (as I sure they are for everyone....); I am slowly adjusting to employment.  I really like my job - I think it is something I can be very good doing.  I really enjoy working with children and developing programs for children.  It is interesting trying to juggle kids, job and regular responsibilities.  I don't know how full-time working moms do it -- by the end of each day I'm totally exhausted.  I am proud that I've kept up my exercise.  It has meant getting up before 6am each morning, but - I'm determined to keep my heart healthy.

The kids welcomed summer vacation with open arms.  We have been in the pool each afternoon.  Tomorrow is their first official "day off".  Dave took the picture above - last night Natalie and I read stories on the deck.  Her reading has improved - it amazes me how each child has developed over the past school year.

The big party to celebrate “the pig” is on June 30th.  Haven't started planning things too much - we are catering from Julian Bros (best bakery/Italian around) and the moon bounce has been ordered.  The kids are so jacked about hosting this.  There will be plenty of good wine and good music - that's what I know.

My Uncle Rich is in visiting from Texas.  He just turned 70 yrs, my dad's little brother.  The kids just love him -- he's very much a kid at heart and plays so nicely with them. They enjoy goofing around.  Uncle Rich will be driving back home sometime soon -but in the meanwhile; it is nice having the time with him.  He cares so much about all of us.

Well, it sounds like Dave is folding laundry in the other room.  The guilt is beginning to set in -- I'd better go relive him on this Father's Day.

I wish you a wonderful week - full of sunshine and smiles.  Always, Michelle
