Good morning. Hope your Easter weekend was a happy one. We are all doing well. It was an incredibly beautiful Opening Day last Monday. The weather went down hill after that - and there was snow on the ground for Easter. Today is a better day - although it is cold outside, the snow is gone. A week from Friday Dave and I head to Myrtle Beach - I cannot wait for sunshine, warm air and long beach. We're gone for the weekend; it will be a great short getaway.
The Tiger game was a lot of fun. Of course, we went down to Detroit at 10am. Gates opened at 10:30 for a 1pm game. There was so much going on, so many people partying everywhere - it was a great time. We sat in my brother-in-law Craig's seats, 4 rows up from the visitor's dugout. Great view, great weather, not-so-great game outcome. But all is not lost; the Tigers lost their opener last year right? Didn't keep them from making it to the World Series.....
The kids are off school this week; we're trying to keep busy. Marisa wants to go ice-skating. I guess the recent cold is affecting her.... I think we'll visit the Troy Sports Center ice rink (where the Red Wings practice) - it's just around the corner from our house. It is fun having the kids around, a precursor to the summer.
Well, I made it through April 6th. Last week was the year anniversary of my A-Fib/A-Flutter scare and that horrible night of eternity in the hospital. My heart is doing so well now, I'm amazed and encouraged. I guess I'm a pretty strong person after all.... I've been trying to find ways to help others in my similar situation. It's amazing how many people suffer from heart abnormalities, and how easy it is to find people like myself. I've met some wonderful friends with incredible stories of survival.
Well, I'd better sign off. I wish nothing but the very best for you. Smile much and laugh often - Always, Michelle
