The sun is shining this morning, much better than yesterday's snow.  I am so ready for spring.  The kids are very eager as well -- we got the bikes out of storage for riding and Dominic retrieved the bases, bats and balls for potential games in the front yard. 

Natalie's rough week last week has subsided.  In fact, she practiced riding on two-wheels and has mastered bike riding without training wheels.  Natalie has been working on that feat for a couple years now -- she lacks confidence in her own abilities (must be a third child, youngest thing) and just wasn't ready before now.   Once she accomplishes something, though - her response is worth the wait.  You can see her pride in the sparkle in of her eyes. 

Next month Dave and I have a weekend get-away planned.  In April 2006 I was supposed to travel to Orlando with him on a business trip.  My visit to the emergency room ruined those plans, just a little.  So, I have an airline ticket that expires soon.  We are going to Myrtle Beach at the end of April and I can't wait.  I will miss not being with the kids (Nonna & Tata are coming to stay at our house for the weekend), but it will be so nice to go somewhere guaranteed warm and just kick back for a couple days.

Its Tuesday -- that means American Idol is on tonight.  Watching has become a family thing -- our first year was 2005 & Carrie Underwood (Marisa's all-time favorite).  This year I can't figure out who I'm rooting for.  Of course we all like LaKisha because she's a Michigan native with an incredible voice -- Dom wants Blake Lewis, he loves his beat box abilities and dance moves.  Dave prefers Haley because she's a Katherine McPhee look alike.  I guess I'll just have to watch tonight and see who shines.
