(Dominic's First Communion Open House on Sunday)

Good afternoon.  I wanted to write a quick entry, I have spent the day catching up from the last couple days.  And the last couple days have been very good.  Both of my evening programs went well, and even with the kids home from school Monday and Tuesday due to the frigid temps and Dave gone on a business trip - things went smoothly.  Most importantly, my appointment in Ann Arbor was very good news.  I didn't have the echocardiogram as I expected - my other tests showed all is well.  In fact, Dr. Kovach declared the Maze Procedure a success and told me my recent 24 Holter results and current EKG showed no need for a pacemaker.  I almost kissed her.  I won't see her again until July (& will have the echo), and then it will be annually.  The palpitations and funny rhythms are normal ... normal for me.  None of my palpitations have been a-fib, and that is how they decided the Maze was a success.  She also said she could hardly hear a murmur when listening with the stethoscope - no doctor has ever told me that before.  Thank God for porcine.

Now we have Florida to look forward to.  With temps well below zero degrees, the thought of sunshine and short sleeves is almost too good to be true.  We leave next Saturday and will stay for the week.  The kids are so excited to see Grandpa & Grandma Haight and to go to Disney World.  It will be a great time.

Well, I'd better get going.  Take care & enjoy the rest of the week.  Keep warm, Michelle
