(kids this afternoon before trick or treating)
Happy Halloween! Things here in Troy are good, we have recovered from the disappointment of the World Series. I do feel the team that played the best, won. There's always next year.....
The kids are so excited about today. They have Halloween parties at school and then "trick or treating" (of course). This year Marisa is going again with a group of her friends, (Dave will chaperone one house behind) after we all go together with Dominic and Natalie. In year's past we've hosted a neighborhood "warming house" -- where we'd open our garage and offer cider/donuts as well as candy. We'd pull out the lawn chairs and people would stop for a while. It was great to visit with neighbors as their kids came by for candy -- but this year it will be nice just to do the "treating" part with the kids. I've missed out on that the last 4 years. Should be a fun night....
Have a fun Halloween. Be nice to those little trick-or-treaters. Have a blessed night. Michelle
ps. our neighbor Mike had a better day yesterday, and hopefully (after a week of being in ICU) he'll go to the "step down" floor on Wednesday. It's been a very difficult recovery for him. Reflecting on things, I have felt so very blessed that things went like they did for my surgery. I keep Mike in my prayers and know he'll be doing better soon.
