Hi. I'm back again. It's a beautiful September morning, cool but sunny. Dominic and Marisa are already off to school, Natalie is reading -- so I thought I'd write a quick entry.

Things went well here at "ground control" (as Dave called it) yesterday morning when MLB playoff tickets went on sale. We had two computers and three cell phones going between us. Dave succeeded with getting a pair of seats to each game (1-3) as well as a couple single seats to each game. My life is reminding me of that movie, Fever Pitch (with Jimmy Fallon & Drew Barrymore). It's a little frightening....but I knew what I was getting into when I married Dave. And it's really not that bad. Our bed sheets aren't covered with MLB registered Detroit Tiger logo, and our kitchen towels are beige with purple grapes and green wine bottles - not orange and blue. There are positive aspects to this obsession; it has provided an opportunity for Dave to form an incredible bond with his kids. They love his passion for baseball and truly share in his enthusiasm for the game. Dominic's room is painted white with orange and blue stripes. Marisa loves to watch the Tigers on TV with her dad and Natalie's favorite player is Magglio Ordonez. This summer the kids have really gotten into collecting baseball cards. Dominic has each of his cards memorized and can tell you any miscellaneous fact about any major ball player. I think Marisa knows more about the game than I do now. Natalie - well, I can tell you right now she is bugging me to get off the computer so I can read Sports Illustrated for Kids to her. All this baseball focus makes for a fun summer....and has helped me keep my mind off the fears I still have regarding my health. I just hope the Tigers can pull it together and win the next game against the Sox. We shall see......
