Good morning.  Today is a wonderful day.  I am actually sitting up in my chair and typing on my hospital lap tray.  Although last night was another difficult night of sleeping (in and out of pain, tough to find a comfortable position, awakened for meds and tests....) I feel so much happier this morning - so much more like myself.  Right now I am waiting for an IV dose of magnesium before being able to bathe.  I did eat my breakfast, wahoo! First time more than just oatmeal has appealled to me.  Having food in my stomach makes all the difference when taking my meds.  The plan, as far as I know, is to still go home sometime today.  I'm excited and scared about that at the same time.  My heart rhythm is still abnormal and concerning to me.  There are just too many beats going on and I wonder if it will ever go back to normal.

Dave had the great idea to take my picture with his phone this morning...hard to believe my doctor complemented me on my appearance this morning during his rounds, right?....Dave said I remind him of the characters in the older cartoons who would get shot about 100 times and then drink a glass of water, and the water flows out of all the holes.  Sorry, Dana, no hospital gown booty shot.....yet.  I have way too many holes from various sized needles in my body right now - most have scabbed over, but I have definately seen better days.....    I thank God for this opportunity to stay in contact with you all through this blog.  Your love and support have made all the difference.
