Hi there - Michelle here. Dave is typing this for me, while I lie in bed with my eyes closed. Learned I’m getting my chest tube out today. Hopefully sooner than later, I’ve had to fast for six hours before they remove it. I actually haven’t had much to eat since surgery and feel weak because of it. I did have two blood transfusions to help me get some more red blood cells to perk me up. Things should be much better after the tube comes out. Otherwise, I think I’ve been feeling ok. I’ve been able to walk down the hall, sit up in bed and dangle my feet off the bedside. I’ve gained a new appreciation for people in the medical field (I’ve been thinking about you, Brenda). Terry and Stacey, my ICU nurses, were just incredible. They never left my bedside and got me through those first two very difficult days and nights. They were so patient, kind and it was evident, they loved their work. I felt very well taken care of. Before I sign off, I just want to say thanks again for your prayers and comforting thoughts. -Michelle
